Nadine and Sul travelled from the Netherlands to get married at Quinta de São Thiago, in Sintra. They brought their closest family and friends, and the day that followed was full of real emotion.
Letting the day unfold
Some weddings run on a tight schedule. This one breathed. From the waiting before the ceremony to the laughter and the party, everything happened in its own time. Relaxed, personal and true to them.
That is when I do my best work. When a couple trusts the day, I can step back and watch.
The little things
I stayed in the background and caught the moments that are easy to miss. A quiet glance between the two of them. A happy tear someone tried to hide. A hug from a parent that said more than any speech.
These are not the photos you plan. They are the ones you will look at in twenty years and feel it all again.
Getting married in Sintra?
Sintra is about 40 minutes from Lisbon, with green hills, old stone walls and a little bit of magic in the air. Quinta de São Thiago sits right in that landscape, with history all around you. It is a beautiful choice for couples who want an intimate destination wedding in Portugal, close to the city but far from its noise.
