Planning a wedding in another country is a lot. New language, new suppliers, new rules, and a time zone that makes every phone call a puzzle.
This is where a good wedding planner changes everything. They know the venues, the people and the little things that can go wrong. They hold the whole day together, so you can simply live it.
As a photographer, I notice planners. I see their work in the details: how a table is set, how a timeline breathes, how calm a couple looks an hour before the ceremony. These are the Portugal wedding planners whose work I admire most. I haven't had the chance to work with them yet, but I follow their work closely, and I would love to one day.
If you are planning a destination wedding in Portugal, this list is a beautiful place to start.
A small note: this is not a ranking. The order doesn't mean one planner is better than another. Each of them is wonderful in their own way, and the right one for you is the one whose style feels like you.

16. The Wedding Co.
The Wedding Co. was founded by Jasmine Lazzari in 2007, which makes her one of the first planners to bring destination weddings to Portugal. Vogue Portugal interviewed her for its Bridal Affair issue, where she shared advice on guest lists, timelines, lighting and table plans. Nearly twenty years of experience shows in every detail.

Dear planners,
I see you. I see you at 7am, checking the flowers before anyone is awake. I see you fixing a problem before the couple even knows there was one. I see you standing at the back of the ceremony, finally breathing, with tears in your eyes too.
You make the day possible. I want to make it easy for you to have me there. So here is how I work.
I work alone, and I stay out of the way. It's just me, so there is no team to brief and no extra people to feed or place. On the day, I move quietly and stay in the background. When a moment needs a little guidance, I give it. The rest of the time, I let your work and the couple's day speak.
I respect your timeline. Before the wedding, I ask for your schedule and plan my day around it. If something moves, I move with it. I will never be the reason a ceremony starts late.
I'm calm under pressure. I spent almost 16 years in aviation. I've worked with people from every culture, in every time zone, in every kind of situation. Rain, delays, a nervous groom, a guest who missed a flight: I've seen it all, and I don't panic. I read the room, and I adapt.
I reply fast. When you or your couple write to me, you hear back quickly. Before the wedding, I have a video call with the couple and send a short questionnaire a few weeks before, so I know the families, the names and the moments that matter.
I photograph your work, too. The table you designed, the flowers, the light on the ceremony setting. I photograph the details before the guests arrive, so your work is remembered as beautifully as the couple's day.
I deliver quickly. Sneak peeks arrive about 48 hours after the wedding, and the full gallery within two months. I'm happy to share a selection with you for your own website and social media, with credits for every supplier.
I shoot digital and film. I work with elopements, intimate weddings of up to around 60 or 70 guests, and destination weddings all over Portugal. I also create editorial and campaign photography for wedding professionals, so if you dream of a styled shoot, let's talk.
My work has been featured in Vogue, Junebug and Wezoree, but what I care about most is simple: a couple who felt seen, and a planner who was happy to have me there.
If you'd like to work together, or just have a coffee in Lisbon, I would love to hear from you.
With love and a lot of admiration,
Sofia
